long lasting extensions

When combing out your weave, start from the bottom and remove tangles while holding the top of your hair.

  • Have your weave professionally tightened at WEX – FL every 4 to 6 weeks for longer wear.
  • Sleep with a satin scarf or on a satin pillowcase.
  • Always tie your head in a braid before going in to chlorine or salt water.
  • If you swim, use a swim cap and wash your hair immediately when finished.
  • Have a professional to remove your weave, to ensure your own hair is not damaged in the process.

Comb out tangles BEFORE you wash your hair.

  • Use shampoo/conditioner/leave-in conditioner designed exclusively for extension hair. We recommend the KeraCare for Weaves and Extensions line.
  • Gently shampoo your hair using your fingertips so as to not loosen the braid of your natural hair. Apply shampoo starting at the roots.
  • Be sure to rinse your extensions thoroughly to remove residue and let it air dry.
  • Avoid products containing alcohol.
  • Use a pomade to smooth down your edges for a finished look.
  • If you must use oil, use a light glossing spray.
